I was very disturbed to read about the forgotten plight of three Americans abducted in Columbia. I am sure there are efforts underway to bring them home, but yet I wonder I why their ordeal barely registers on the radars of news monitors. Have we reached such a low point that even American life has different value depending on whether a person is abducted in a political hotspot?
